RAYMOND FRANCIS McCLINTOCK was born in Camden on February 28, 1938 Margaret F. McNeil and Raymond Priest. He was adopted and raised by Arthur and Margaret McClintock. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served as a reserve firefighter in the early 1960s, and was injured in January of 1964 while serving in that capacity. He worked in Camden's Highway Department (later renamed Public Works) as early as 1962.

Raymond F. McClintock was appointed to the Camden Fire Department on March 3, 1974. Raymond McClintock and his wife Helen were living at 474 North 34th Street when he was appointed to the Fire Department. In 1979 he was appointed to the post of Assistant Director of the Public Works Department by Mayor Angelo Errichetti. He left city employ in 1981 when Mayor Errichetti resigned. He later reapplied for his position with public works, was turned down, and subsequently took a position as a heavy equipment operator with the Township of Cherry Hill

Raymond F. McClintock spent his last years at Lake Alfred, Florida on July 30, 2001.
